Installation That Starts With The Load Calculation, Not The Wire Spool

Most electrical problems start at the planning stage. A panel sized for today’s load that can’t handle next year’s equipment. Circuits run without the inspection in mind. Towers EC approaches every installation the way it was taught in union halls and Navy engine rooms: start with the load, design the system, pull the permit, pass the inspection. Steve Torres has been doing it that way for 30+ years.

Talk To The Master Electrician
  • Load calculation first: We start with what the system needs to handle, not what’s cheapest to rough in.
  • Permit on every job that needs one: CA Lic. 847255 means we can pull permits in our own name. We do.
  • Lifetime warranty on install labor: Any installation failure traced to our work: we come back at no charge.
  • Built for inspection: We install the way a rough-in inspector expects to see it. No callbacks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a residential electrical installation?

Typically: service entrance, main panel, branch circuits, outlets, switches, fixtures, and any specialty circuits (EV charger, hot tub, generator transfer switch). We provide a full scope in writing before work starts.

How long does a new construction electrical rough-in take?

A 2,000 sq ft residential rough-in typically takes 2 to 4 days depending on the floor plan complexity. Commercial tenant improvements depend heavily on scope. We give you a schedule in writing after the site walk.

Do you install EV chargers?

Yes. Level 2 charger installation, dedicated circuit, permit pulled. We work with all major charger brands and handle any required panel upgrades.

Do you handle utility coordination for new services?

Yes. We prepare the service entrance, submit the permit package, and coordinate the utility inspection sequence so you’re not waiting on paperwork.

What does a free assessment involve?

We come to the site, look at the existing service and panel, review your plans or describe the scope in plain language, and tell you what we can do and what it will involve. No commitment required. Call (707) 803-6332.

Electrical Installation In Vacaville Done Right The First Time

New electrical installation covers a wide range of work: a single new circuit for a garage shop, a complete rewire of a 1960s home, a tenant improvement buildout for a commercial space, or a whole-property backup power system with automatic transfer switching. What ties all of these together is the requirement that the work be done to code, with the right permits, by a licensed electrician who understands the project before they cut into the wall.

Residential Installation

On the residential side, that means new construction wiring in coordination with general contractors, additions and ADU electrical buildouts, kitchen and bathroom circuit upgrades to meet current NEC requirements, EV charger installation in garages, hot tub and spa sub-panel wiring, and whole-home rewires on properties where the original wiring has reached the end of its service life.

Commercial Installation

Commercial electrical installation in Vacaville and Fairfield tends to be more complex in scope and tighter on schedule. Tenant improvement buildouts often require coordination with the building inspector, the property owner, and the general contractor simultaneously. We have done this kind of work for three decades, which means we know how to pull the permit before the first wire goes in, how to schedule the inspection so it does not delay the contractor’s timeline, and how to document the installation so the building department signs off without a re-inspection.

When You Actually Need New Installation

Installation work shows up at a few specific moments. You are building or adding square footage and the new space needs circuits, outlets, and lighting roughed in before the walls close. You are converting a garage to a workshop or an ADU and that load was never part of the original service. You are putting in something the house was never wired for, a Level 2 EV charger, a hot tub, a heat pump, a backup generator with an automatic transfer switch. Or the existing wiring has simply aged out, the cloth-insulated or aluminum branch circuits in an older Solano County home that an inspector or an insurer has flagged. In each case the right move is to plan the circuits against a real load calculation first, not to tap whatever is nearest in the panel.

The Permit And Inspection Process

Most installation work requires a permit and at least two inspections: a rough-in inspection before the walls are covered, and a final inspection once the devices, fixtures, and panel are live. We pull the permit in our own name under CA Lic. 847255 and schedule both inspections so they line up with the framing and finish stages instead of holding up the rest of the job. At rough-in the inspector checks box fill, wire size, stapling, and that the circuits are laid out to code before drywall hides them. At final they verify grounding, GFCI and AFCI protection, breaker sizing, and labeling. The job is not closed until the inspector signs off, and we hand you the signed card. Building the work to pass the first time is the whole point, because a failed inspection means opening finished walls.

The Installation Standard

On an installation, you are building something that has to work reliably for the next thirty or forty years, under loads you cannot fully predict, maintained by whoever owns the building next. That is the standard we hold ourselves to: label every circuit correctly, size the wiring to the load with margin, use commercial-grade devices where the duty cycle warrants it, and leave a panel that any licensed electrician can open and immediately understand.

A Master Electrician designs the system rather than just running cable to it. Three decades on new construction, tenant improvements, and additions means Steve Torres plans the conduit routes, the home runs, and the panel layout before the first wire goes in, so the rough-in matches the way an inspector expects to see it and the finished system has room to grow. That planning is why our installs pass on the first inspection and why the lifetime labor warranty is something we can stand behind. If a failure ever traces back to our installation work, we come back and make it right at no charge.
